This is an odd decision and invites some scrutiny. Even a small business website can get tested to make sure it works with Firefox. Surely, Apple has the resources to make a website work with Firefox. Is there any legitimate reason to be doing this?
I would assume it’s because their QA doesn’t test against anything other than WebKit & Chromium browsers at all, so to avoid any potential problems, they decides it’s easier to just urge the user to use supported browsers.
Yes, modern web apps should not have big problems on Firefox, but yes it’s also not officially supported.
