It's because it smells, spreads disease and is seen as a general disregard for others that have to be near what's left behind.




Now apply this to spiritual pollution.


If watching 2 people being affectionate towards one another is spiritual pollution then maybe your spiritualism sucks ass ?


Yet we don't allow them to go too far or it becomes public indecency. Why? "Indecency" is completely cultural. People are triggered by different things. Somebody above is disgusted by a standard bodily function when done in public.


If you’re talking about me, I’m not disgusted with standard bodily functions done in public.

If you want to use a street urinal or similar that’s fine by me. If you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go.

I think what most people object to is what’s left behind; the piss and shit, not the act itself.

I don’t want to step in it or smell it or see it. Same goes for dog shit.

You’re not going to catch something from passing strangers holding hands, except maybe a broader world view.
