This is not quite surprising as I experienced a few times that kids understand pretty well a CLI rather than a GUI. As soon as they can read the concept of a REPL is rather straightforward for many so called computer "illiterates". Say something to the computer through writing it on the keyboard then wait for the processing of it and finally see the result displayed on the screen.
Plus the history of commands is also very intuitive. Is it because it's all based on natural language faculties that we all possess as soon as we are born?
