Seems more like ‘I like long lines and found little evidence that they are bad.’ I think I believe that he’s read roughly all the studies and that they are unconvincing. That doesn’t mean they’re aren’t people for whom the formatting is problematic. I think it’s also a bit of countersignalling about the nature of the blog.
