I find it easier to deploy Docker inages to VPSs than to learn how to use countless AWS services. My go-to combo for a new project is DigitalOcean and Cloudflare.

If we're talking about backup and recovery strategy, cloud is undoubtedly easier.

Setup one that doesn't eat your wallet is what makes it hard.
