Huh? If you haven’t been to court your innocence/guilt hasn’t been proven, just suspected and custody approved by a judge.

Saying “jailing innocent people” is just playing with words.




You are innocent until proven guilty.


Only in a legal sense - that doesn’t change whether you did or did not commit the act in question.


We are talking about a legal sense, a very important one that takes away people's freedom.


Presumption of innocence when determining guilt.

But you’re not put in jail before trial because you’re guilty, it’s to keep the public safe and/or make sure you don’t flee.
