It is cool, but I wonder why are they using an Arduino to read the tape back instead of the line-in of a sound card?


it seems they are using the Arduino to translate the tape data into a serial protocol for a retrocomputer they are building

adapters are fun :) helps prevent bit rot too


No interest in the longstanding legacy formats of Tarbell and Kansas City?

Though TBH I am not sure if those microcasettes were used for data storage back in the 70s so perhaps those aren't true legacy formats for this application.
