I always wonder how fast the world forgets when this comes up..
TLDR; Swatch make a decimal based 'world time' and watches/programs to track it ('beat time'). Put a huge 'beat time' clock on their HQ. It was supposed to cure all the internet scheduling woes...and then it died.
