Thank you for your concern. I have seen that scene, and similar scene from Sopranos. This is the exact meaning that I think is appropriate in this context (a horrible violent act aimed at a victim to stop him once and for all from having certain ideas), because the danger to the society from such initiatives is that severe.



That’s really horrible that you think that a company commissioning custom computer chips somehow deserves violence.

I don’t know why anyone would possibly think that’s ever ok. Or why you would think that’s possibly ever appropriate to invoke in a discussion about computer chips or anything other than the act itself.

If your intent was to invoke a visceral reaction in the reader that causes the rest of your point to be completely ignored, then well done. Otherwise, if you want to actually communicate your ideas in a civilized fashion, please reconsider your choices.


You should probably look up for things called metaphors and hyperboles. Rhetorical devices are used by people in order to make their speech less boring and bland.

Computer chips have no literal teeth that can be taken out during curbstomping. However, companies DO have figurative poisonous teeth that harm society, and those CAN be taken out. And they should.
