A Journey to the Disappointment Islands (2019) (bbc.com)

This is a beautifully written piece and heightens my wanderlust even more so than I thought possible.

I seldom read travel pieces, but wow, this was great.

Just maybe there are a very few places like this left in Canada (but without the clams and coconuts). Places so out there that there's only softly-flanged shortwave music to fall asleep by.

What’s the demonym for people from the Disappointment Islands? I hope it’s Disappointed people.

I can't find any mention of the used demonym in your linked article.

Disappointees, I presume.

Wow, taking"just do it" to another level.

Anyone wishing to join me as I travel to the Lakshadweep Islands later this year and have an attempt at the North Sentinel Islands?

Not only would this be illegal - as another commenter noted - if successful you'd a) be killed by the natives, and b) risk decimating the local population with diseases they have no antibodies nor treatment for.

"Attempt"? You'd be in violation of The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Protection of Aboriginal Tribes Act of 1956. "Just doing it" is fine as long as its not outright illegal.
