Not surprising it's a repeat -- it's a fascinating article. It's got it all - action, adventure, hubris and the illusion of knowledge.


Maciej Ceglowski is one of the very best writers on the web, no question. It's a shame he does not do it more often.


I agree, and I even contributed to a fundraiser to read more about his trip to Antarctica - in the full knowledge he might never deliver.

Same here, but he did deliver. I find his Yemen travelogues more interesting than his Antarctic ones, however.

My absolute favorite remains "Argentina on two steaks a day", however.
