A rather silly post - there are a lot of reasons why companies don't buy the best hardware - the comments on the thread do a great job of listing them.

Even then, it's still a silly post. The reasons for not buying the latest hardware are rather obvious.

The point is that productivity gains are only one obvious metric - businesses constantly battle capital spending vs. productivity.
