Also, if you are running a business, say a restaurant, please prefix your PDF (for example) downloads with the name of your establishment. "golden-chopstick-menu.pdf" is much better than "menu.pdf (1)"

Re: naming, a lot of people still seem to be operating under the impression that filesystems can't handle spaces, which hasn't been the case for a long time.
Although, the more likely explanation is that they just don't even think about it and leave the default.
filesystems can handle spaces just fine... it's many tools that can't, or don't without people caring to use the features -- the most obvious example being find(1)
