If you want to make people feel left out start with a word X and create "X-verse" out of it. For instance I get a huge amount of spam for something called "Boomiverse" and I cannot make head or tail of what it is.
Naming is hard, especially for a global audience. The term Fediverse has evolved organically to describe the many implementations of the protocol and W3C standard ActivityPub [0]. I can't think of any better term on the spot. The main point is that it is not describing a legal entity, company or specific app, but an ecosystem of social networks interacting with each other. I have not heard of Boomiverse before (or other -verses for that matter).
