I've always considered the Surface Book line to be Microsoft's answer to Apple's Macbook Pro, and design-wise, it's a pretty good one. Detachable tablets with a real operating system and a dedicated GPU base are kind of the ultimate form factor (unless they could fit that GPU into the tablet).
But the specs fall short. Macbook Pro hard drives start at 512GB and go up to 8TB, and they have more ram at the high end as well. It's just annoying and I'm probably just going to try to build my own laptop in a year or two.
