It doesn't really depend on a language, it is more a question of an application architecture. But there are languages/tools that are quite popular in this area, like Go, Java, Kotlin, Node.js.

I see. I'm just wondering which one has gained traction among blockchain and p2p apps (I think signal uses Erlang)
