Perhaps it’s because I play games I expect to be more realistic in nature. When I complain about resolution I’m not talking about beat saber.

I never really feel fully submerged in VR. I blame that on a few things:

1. Resolution. This is the big one for me.

2. Headset. The weight, fogging up (like you mentioned), the fact that I can still tell it’s there.

3. Sound (you mentioned part of this). Sound is important for full submerging.




Hm, I guess I'm just not looking for immersion. Like, sure, it'd be super cool to be fully immersed but it's not really my priority. And advance after advance probably won't actually get me there, short of a holodeck.

PS to help with fogging up, if it bothers you as much as it did me, i found that lightly heating the lenses with a blow dryer for like five seconds lets me play without fog for nearly an hour.
