I feel like most programming jobs outside of Silicon Valley are just like any other corporate job. They tend to get paid more because it's harder to replace a programmer analyst for your company than it is someone in accounting (not saying ones easier than the other).



Are they somehow different in Silicon Valley?


Californian work culture and highly urbanized work place. The majority of the US is not like that.
