Show HN: Squiggle – A Sketch library for making low-fidelity wireframes (ui8.net)

I've been using Balsamiq Cloud for this purpose recently. https://balsamiq.cloud

Nice to see a way to do it in Sketch, finally.

FYI your site becomes a blank page for me a second or so after it loads. Something adds the class `newsletter-modal` to `<body>`. Seems like something relying on/expecting a third party script to load and then doing stuff.

I did create low-fidelity wireframes in the past. But it felt like low-fidelity wireframes just added extra noise and additional needed iterations.

By using high-fidelity UI kits, it is almost as easy to create wireframes without having to re-do a lot of work again.

Nevertheless, I also understand that there are cases where it can be useful and necessary. This is definitely a nice kit.

Isn't the whole meaning of a "wireframe", that it's just the wires of a frame? Just the outlines, no color etc. ?

IRL, yes. In UI design, it's more about speed of iteration than about what it looks like.

Oh, yes! I've been working on a paper based one - I love seeing these "rough draft" style tools which make iterating on the early stages of ideas. Thanks!

Hey thanks! Looks like you were/are involved with Discuss.io and you're in the Seattle area too (I'm in Mill Creek).

I have a SaaS product in the UXR space that I'd love to show you. Is the phone # on your site the best way to get in touch?

Looks great. Any plans for a Figma version?

Thanks! I'm new to Figma so I have been relying on a really nice converter as a starting point (https://xd2sketch.com/), but I'd really like to take to take advantage of the auto layout feature and there still seems to be a lot of manual tuning required to get everything 1:1 with the Sketch version.

If a Figma expert wants to take that on I'd be more than happy to partner with them and split revenues on Figma version sales.

Or Adobe XD?

Same as my comment above re: Figma version. The converter seems to do a lot of the heavy lifting, but I just don't know what I don't know about XD to ensure quality. Definitely open to an XD power user porting the kit and splitting revenues on it.
