Not to mention the family separation/children in cages along the Southern border, but I guess everyone got distracted and forgot about this.

Yes? So? That doesn't mean it does not also includes actual children, and people who are actual parents of minors they're traveling with.


If CBP suspects they aren't really your kids you get separated. If they don't, you stay together.

That's the point.
