Same with modern ZynAddSubFX. I personally have no issues with this model, I'd rather pay for libre software then equivalent proprietary. That being said, if I were to try using this I would probably build it.


Same as with XChat, Ardour. I wounder, how they look at the packages from the distros?


Distro's remove the need for an installer. Distro package users may still pay to support dev't.


Huh, they bundle packages for archlinux, debian10, fedora32, ubuntu1804, ubuntu1910, ubuntu2004.
