All true, so maybe it's more concerning for something targeted like evidence in a trial where a judge and jury are shown some undeniable and incriminating, yet fabricated evidence. The amount of time it takes to produce these makes them more purposed for spear-phishing campaign than anything more board, as you say where simple lying works.



I'm not sure if we should expect that to be a huge problem. There are a lot of white-collar prosecutions based heavily on written documents, but as far as I know it's not common for people to be convicted based on forgeries.
