I think much of your criticism against Nix is undeserved. None of your arguments against Nix have any concrete specifics, and your rant about Docker doesn't even have anything to do with Nix. It's fine if you don't want to take the time to learn every single new technology that pops up; everyone has to be selective about what they choose to learn because we can only have so much time. But why criticize what you didn't take the time to sit down and learn, especially when it's not even being forced upon you?
