Just so I understand, why does an ISP care so much about providing the DNS resolution? Anyway once you have a destination IP address, that'll be visible to your ISP from your packets, and a simple reverse DNS can tell them what these IPs are for. Or am I missing something?
That's also why I'm not so bullish on the benefits from DNS encryption, though it's a step in the right direction.
