My shop did an application cutover today and when making DNS changes it hit me that the app has it's own domain, with the <domain.tld> A record == front end IPv4 address.
Lucky for me my websearch on the terms:

took me to the authoritative site and helped me not shoot my wee-wee in the foot :-D
