Generally the New York Times fact-checks and corrects itself—but all newspapers spin stories for more clicks or interest. “Everything’s going okay at Apple” isn’t going to move advertisement dollars, the metric by which all news media ultimately value stories. Having worked at a newspaper or two myself, it’s inescapable. That said it’s also worth pointing out the New York Times has endorsed Republicans before... just not recently.
