Sure in an ideal world you would not need affirmative action or whatever they want to call it these days. Also in a perfect utopia communism lets everyone share everything equally and is clearly superior to capitalism. Unfortunately we don't live in perfect utopia, and thus need practical solutions like capitalism, democracy, and even affirmative action. Which reminds me of Churchill's quote: "Democracy is the worst form of Government except all those other forms that have been tried..."
