I'm not sure why companies are so insistent sometimes on doing UI/UX overhauls that nobody asked for.

At least Mojave has the option for a dark or light UI/UX.

Tons of older/less experienced people use Gmail. It's hard enough for those kinds of people to get used to a UI/UX to start.
