Let's follow that to the extreme. An "endorsement star" can only really endorse the state of the project at the point-in-time when it was starred. Who knows what awful direction it might then take! You don't want your name attached to that! So the first time someone endorsement-stars a repo, it must become locked and un-push-able. Sorry folks, it's the only moral way.
