I remember thinking it was very brave of them at the time, with BitTorrent being branded as a villan then just as much as it is now.

P2P is an interesting approach to large scale media distribution, but aside from the bandwidth issues, I imagine they were under immense pressure from copyright holders to steer clear of it.
