I don't think Netflix subscribers are as worried about privacy implications of P2P as Netflix is(not interested in sharing data). Netflix already has all history data of all subscribers and can decide to sell/use it as it seems fit thought policy changes. As subscribers, it's no different to have our data visible to one profit driven company vs to all subscribers. Moreover, having this data available publicly would of immensely help in creating transparency among people and bringing then closer.

World would be a lot better place if we starts becoming comfortable with sharing our real thoughts/preferences openly, and it would simplify transition to truly public-sprited internet platforms based on etherium, etc.




It's a shame that so much modern technology ends up betraying the average consumer in ways they can't understand.

I can understand the hesitation. It's warranted, but there is progress such as this very threads response.
