A day in the life:
I work with many electrical engineers that took ~1 programming class or so it seems.
There is 1 contractor that is developing a tool but its entirely backend, access + excel mess. I'm currently designing an accounting database, so he's the best I have.
Unfortunately hes all backend and constantly is suggesting excel and access.
Other fun, I've started doing job automation and was explaining how I'm looking to make our Parts , classes. That way you could run methods off them to solve problems quicker. Currently trying to datamine current databases which is exported to an excel file. I do have a python script which writes to sqlite, but its very slow and would take a weekend to accomplish a task.
My coworkers have seen the job automation ive done and its exclusively met with laughter.
Go home, biphasic nap, work on my main project, currently laravel backend. Do this until/while my interns come over to collect food data. When I exhaust, I do the html and css of our non profit or mess with python toys.
I love programming :)
