In case anyone's wondering about the use of "violently" - this is supposed to be General Patton's law about military plans. Just so happens to apply to other fields.
Except the "violently" here does not actually refer to the use of military force.
It's in the sense of "vigorously" or "forcefully". No hesitation. No hesitation, no waffling, no debate - "just do it". Or, as Amazon calls it "disagree and commit"
