GDPR isn’t so much a freedom of speech regulation insofar it’s more of setting out the rules on how corporations need to handle personal data. The ideas behind GDPR are good, but I’m unsure of the burden of compliance. Users will enjoy, presumably, an increased level of data control. Companies may need to re-engineer their offerings to fit into this new model, the result of which may mean unforseeable inconveniences and cost to the end user.
