Why the downvotes ? What is the difference between serverless and something like fastcgi ?

There is no fastcgi implementation which autoscales based on the amount of concurrency expected.

Or even just having your provider distribute the load of a number of servers. The same FastCGI handlers will startup on many actual machines, providing a measure of scaling.
