It appears to be capable of 4k at 300fps. That requires fast (and a decent amount of) storage to utilise - gigabit Ethernet to a network store is one way of accomplishing that.
It's also useful for remote control -- there are scenarios where there is place to set up a camera, but an operator can't be there as well -- and for automatic downloads (e.g. in a studio setting).
