You're right, but the arms race has marched on.

HTML5 has increased the amount of work I have to do, I miss the days when Flashblock was all I needed.

(I would love to be wrong about this, please show me an HTML5 blocker with a site-based whitelist.)

Not quite clear on what a "HTML5" blocker is. I'm guessing you don't literally mean "block HTML5"...
