It should read "MariaDB forked from Oracle MySQL at the last moment".

(And I think Oracle MySQL is still alive/supported)

You are right, sorry, non-native English speaker here. While most of the time I get it right sometimes I don't. That's what I wanted to say.

Supported yes. Having history of Oracle handling of projects, Solaris being last example, I am very glad that we have active MariaDB.
