I fear that because AMD is their only credible competitor that without AMD directly competing that Intel will stagnate like before. Hopefully ARM processors can help fill that void soon and will increase competition. Especially with the rising costs of being competitive .

Yes, whether or not you like AMD as a company, purchasing some Ryzen now is good for the industry.

I can't wait for the server and laptop lines to come out. If nothing else, low-end server and laptop markets could do with a shake-up.
