It would be nice if they offered an option of adaptive bandwidth throttling, so that once you're past 75% of your allotment it starts slowing you down such that you never reach your entire quota, and never get charged for overages.

The Zeno's paradox in action - once you reach half your limit, the speed is cut in half. "Zeno" throttling if you will. :)




There must be something you can run on the server that will do this for you. I agree that Amazon should offer it in front of the server, but there are options.


Or imagine if they just bundled a flat rate in the service? You're effectively specifying a burst policy.
