I wouldn't start complaining about Google providing a good experience on Android while making users suffer on iOS.
Traditionally the Google services experience has been better on iOS than on Android. iOS had the most amazing Google Maps long before Android got that update... Even after so much time and updates, I still prefer the Google experience on iOS to the one on Android.
