Why would you learn C++ in 2016?
As someone who hasn't programmed much C++ in the last 10 years, what's a good book to get caught up with all the new stuff?

I like both "A Tour of C++" by Stroustrup and "Effective Modern C++" by Scott Meyers. Though, the latter is a bit dense if you are unfamiliar with c++.
