This would prevent row hammer attacks and detect memory errors in general, so it ought to be of general interest even if it isn't.



Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this won't protect dram from row hammer attacks. You still can access memory cells and cause other bits to flip. Doesn't matter if the content is encrypted or not.


Bit flips will be detected on the next read via MAC failure. Bit flips can still be obnoxious, but they are prevented in the sense the CPU will start a reboot before accepting corrupt memory.
