"His math assumes he wouldn't have internet access if he wasn't doing apple-TV and all that"

I included internet costs both with cable and without cable. I'm cutting the cord, not becoming a hermit! :)

Reports were released today that Apple may finally be poised to launch an iPhone with a display of 5" or more. Do you think they have delayed this release due to a fear of decreasing iPad sales? If a 5" or larger iPhone is released, do you think it will affect iPad sales? Personally, I find little use for an iPad when I'm using a phone with a 5-6" display.

Amazingly, it's getting very close to MBA territory in size, price, and battery life. How long until they converge into one machine?

Can Microsoft shift strategies fast enough to combat free software from Apple and Google? It'll be tough, but they have enough market share that they might have plenty of time.

It's not free, it's gratis.

What's the difference?

also rest of gnu.org, fsf.org etc.

(is this a trolling question?)

Does Apple realize the risk of keeping a 4" display on its flagship product for another year? People are jumping ship, and fast, to larger screen devices.

People compare the colors of the 5C to the iMac or iPod mini, but the difference is that people already put colored cases on their iPhones all the time. Provides little incentive to upgrade from a current iPhone. Plus, people will just put a (different?) color case on the 5C anyway!

Who is going to pay for Microsoft's software in the future? PC manufacturers probably won't. Advertisers probably won't. Looks like subsidizing it through Microsoft hardware sales is the best bet.

Agreed. The browser is good enough for most of these services on Windows 8. However, the ideal experience would be a touch-optimized "metro" app in additional to the browser. 500 users vs. 60 million! Where are the priorities?

Facebook is the biggest surprise. They seem very friendly with Microsoft.
