It's only 59.0 KB, see http://cdn.opalrb.org/opal/current/opal.min.js

I'm showing 259KB in linux, 259KB in OSX, and 253KB in windows.

The author has a nice write-up on the motivation behind it here: http://jgaskins.org/blog/2015/1/17/clearwater-a-front-end-we...

Downloaded it for the Find in Page feature and uninstalled pretty much immediately - I thought it would be serious competition for my Find In Page plugin for Safari and finally deliver this functionality in a native way.

Instead, over 60% of the screen is permanently covered by the toolbar at the top and the keypad at the bottom. No way to scroll either while in the Find in Page mode. No way to step backwards throught search results either - next button only. What were you guys thinking?! Find in Page could have been a killer feature for you over Safari, and it falls way short.

In addition, the app does not feel Cocoa Touch-like - UI elements look faked and the feel is different. Sorry, I had much higher expectations for days waiting for the release, and it just did not deliver iPhone-like experience. Better luck in the next version, I guess. BTW, love Opera on the desktop!

PS: almost forgot - PDF is not supported at all and is delegated to Safari instead!

In case anyone's interested in pedantic details, the color appears to be #0033CC (not #0044CC) and it can best be described as STRONG VIOLET (according to the Color Curious iPhone app).

Please add the ability to search.

I think tilt-scrolling would be quite unusable, albeit a nice optional feature - would be nice to play with it to see if it really works. There is definitely a problem with scrolling on the iPhone when it comes to long pages - making scrolling to the bottom of a page pracically impossible in some scenarios. There is this bias towards scrolling to the top, but not the bottom embedded into iPhone's design. That's why I made the End Of Page app for Safari on the iPhone - it lets you scroll to the bottom of very long pages without having to flick forever. It is free - I am releasing it in the hope that others find it useful. I should be on the App Store on Friday, provided all goes well with the approval process.

Yep. Or Windows Mobile (shudder). They all got in-page search. How that got left out of the Safari design is beyond me.

The other thing that got left out is the ability to scroll to the bottom of the page - there is scroll to top, but no scroll to bottom (a real problem on long pages - it may be practically impossible to flick your way to the bottom of a long page). So, I made another app - "End Of Page" - this one's totally free and hits the App Store on Friday (Apple willing, of course).

Context: "How to become rich even if nobody is following you on twitter" (http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1107828) - my "1$ a day" app now "...one of the most useful applications you've ever installed on your iPhone."

Absolutely stunning on OS X Safari - unbelievably responsive!

Both made by a Russian guy :)
