True. AI Ethics is a very important concern here. I wonder some big tech giants, collectively or some governing body should be formed that must play a role to enforce regulations around the ethical use of AI.
One shouldn't anticipate that AI should mirror the tasks and complexities of the human mind. What can be anticipated is that AI should precisely predict things for you.
Understanding of the statistical methods and machine learning models is imperative to have but why for example IBM’s Watson for Oncology Project Cancelled After Spending $62 Million. Wasn't they had proper skill set and data?
True, training and test data are usually variate but still we can't say that it wasn't possible. Perhaps in this particular case training data and variavles used were not sufficient
Surely you wouldn't be referring to usb 3.0 data transfer ;)
Mate this is not about that data transfer. There are sensors burried behind the stumps to detect the contact of the ball with the bat. Whereas, cameras are dectecting the release of ball with time synchronisation.
The ball speed is calculated dividing the distance by the time. If the time was 3 seconds, the average speed will be 60/3 = 20 feet per second (6.1 m/sec). Of course this is only the average ball speed, the speed of the ball at the time of release would be greater.
