No he means the 'code' that runs Google in the business / HR sense is not version controlled and reviewed. So when it changes to something he disagrees with like the pillow purchase being disallowed he can't see or take part in the discussion that led to that change.

It sounds more like product/release control, which Google has been against since its incarnation.

Of course that's fake fibre aka fibre to the green cabinet in your street. The UK allows that to be marketed as fibre despite the large difference in performance to a real fibre connection.

Having since upgraded to real fibre (I saw the man splice it into the router connector with my own eyes), the difference is staggering - now I regularly get 500Mbps+ up and down with not infrequent 800Mbps+.

It's actually very similar to Aaron Schwartz's plan of using academic access to copy and widely distribute papers. This researcher does not have a legal basis to copy 2000+ disks in order to free them from the national archives. At most he has a restricted right of access to use some of them in his academic research.

To test he could ask the national archive for permission to carry out his plan and observe how quickly his access is revoked.

I see you are familiar with Berlin nightclubs!

I think Starling is 2%.

Starling is 0.5% for balances up to £2000, and 0.25% for balances up to £85000

I find Curve to be more innovative because it is a debit card that links back to any debit or credit card. You can only carry one card, use your real credit cards in places that only accept debit. Plus - a fancy app and real time tracking for all your old bank cards. It's most of the upside from Monzo with your choice of cards.

It shouldn't take having a special talent in art to get a fair hearing.

There are small startups born out of targeted smart application of code today that are similar to a lone hacker and sold to Google. eg Graphics Fuzz with it's intelligent code reducer which Google bought to use with Android.

The Benelux Union was really the precursor model to the EU.

It's not so much a less strict attitude but a willingness to co-operate and allow citizens to pass unhindered thanks to the Schengen Agreement. Borders outwith Schengen or on the borders of the EU are policed strictly.
