In this case, I'm not sure that hope is really even worth it. This whole launch has been blatantly artificially inflated to move more of the backstock on the 30 series.
These drugs are sometimes prescribed in cases of extreme medication-resistant Anxiety and Depression. My significant other is prescribed lamotrigine precisely for this reason.
Just throwing it out there. I don't disagree with your perception of the article, but there's always edge cases.
As someone who has just joined the workforce in the past few years, I have never understood LinkedIn. The job hunting seems like a budget version of Indeed or similar. The "social media" aspect is by far the least engaging, most spammy, useless stream of information that's possible. The recruiters on there ruin things even further, adding to the pile of spam that we already deal with. I really don't see the point of LinkedIn past declaring who you work for.
I use it mainly as a digital rolodex. But that's about it.
Not that it would be possible to schedule meetings easily and follow-up with conversations.
But then, this would make it an email client.
I agree, which is why I've made two decisions to guide the rest of my life:
1. Staying in the Midwest. Every climate change prediction map has the Midwest as one of the last livable places in the States.
2. Not having kids. In my opinion, anyone who brings a child into this world at this stage is selfish and only considering themselves. I personally wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that I forced this existence onto another being. I often wish my parents had the same consideration, but I guess then I'd miss out on watching the chaos.
Can it really get any worse than it already is? On the same note, has Elon actually stated a single concrete change that he would make? I think the reality is that for the vast majority of users, Twitter won't change a bit.
Maybe not concrete but this feels like a clear policy preference:
Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) April 26, 2022
A Twitter that agrees with "obviously incredibly inappropriate" here would be a significant change.
Elon musk has complained that Twitter is trying to stop disinformation and label propaganda. He thinks that fighting for truth is anti-free speech. So yes, it can get worse
That's a gross mischaracterisation. Twitter isn't trying to stop misinformation: it's labelling anything that doesn't agree with certain viewpoints as misinformation and trying to stop that.
No, which is why I decided to pursue a career where I'm paid based on a salary, protected by employee rights (even if limited in the US), and not beholden to a single corporation's platofrm to perform my job.
Most of the youtubers I watch aren't making a living off of it, and the few that do are able to do so because they've monetized outside of the YouTube platform.
Nothing you say will make me feel a single twinge of guilt over using ad blockers.
Most YouTubers have sponsors who they mention in the video. If there must be advertising, I prefer that kind, because the creator gets 100% of the revenue.
