Although I have no evidence, if three people on the team are sick and then I get sick, there's definitely a good chance I got it at work.

Bird Box by Josh Malerman - I didn't know what to expect and it was a great book. It's the first time in a while that I've read a book has been intense/scary.

I need to start carpooling more

Agreed. I wish my company was more like that. I don't want to hear you arguing with your wife, making a doctor's appointment to get that lump checked out, or trying to convince your kids to do their homework while you're at the office.

I'm with you... headphones are not comfortable. I've tried all sorts to either listen to music with or to just block out the noise and after a while they are almost as distracting as the noise.

With the wonderful weather we've had in the Midwest this past week I've been working from home and I have realized how much I hate our office setup. I'm very much dreading going into the office tomorrow.

I once began looking for a job about a week after I started a new one. I wasn't completely sold on the company when I accepted the offer - I had some misgivings about the culture - and later wished I had just declined. After a week I knew my gut was right and I needed to get out.

Of course it was more difficult to find a new job since I had just started one but I was honest in my interviews and after 90 days I left for something else.

Trust your instincts.

That post made me feel a lot better about my job. Yikes!
