Davinci Resolve is a solid video editing software that's available on Linux.

I remember reading this when I was in high school out of curiosity. Thanks again for writing this (and many more), Beej.

This is by the same person that wrote ffmpeg.

and qemu

and tcc (the tiny C compiler).

Those who can be called genius are few in the world, but Facrice Bellard is certainly among them.

I wish the Computer History Museum would do an "Oral History" video with him. Such a fascinating individual with monumental contributions to tech.

And my axe.

This is impressive! You've sold me on the product, and I'm excited to see how this product develops over the coming months and years.

It should at least have:

* A keyboard that doesn't malfunction after half a year's worth of usage

* A physical escape key

* Additional USB ports

It should have a USB-A port or two. You cant' even insert a USB stick.

It would be nice if the keyboard had curved keys, like the first gen macbook pro. flat keyboards suck, they put the impact on a smaller area of your fingertip, and your fingers do not self-center.

(and I agree about the escape key)

Tagging the year helps to contextualize articles for readers.

Looks like it's back to normal now.

Same here. Taking magnesium L-threonate and melatonin before going to sleep has improved my sleep quality like nothing else.

That was a great read that was easy to digest. Thanks for writing this up!

Where are you getting your median tech salary of $300k from? That figure seems awfully high to me.
